Hi, my name is Diane and I've been Co-ordinator for the charity since September 2014.  Previously I was a Registered Childminder and Link / Lead Childminder for Wigan.  Within this role, I organised a number of large events for Childminders throughout the Borough and the North West. 

 

Sadly in March 2014 my 13 year old daughter, Jemma-Louise died after a very short illness and Childminding just doesn't seem right for me any more.  A Childminder colleague recommended me to the then Chair of the newly set up (April 2013) Wigan & Leigh DCS.  They were looking for someone to work flexible hours, self employed, from home, to organise events and fundraising. 

 

Over the years, as the charity has grown, so has my role.  I've been extremely lucky and have met some amazing families and organised some fantastic events. The charity is very close to my heart as I have been involved from its early stages and I look forward to organising more exciting events and driving the charity forward in a positive way.
