Hi I'm Debbie and I'm 41 and i was born deaf. I carry a genetic syndrome called B.O.R which stands for Branchio Otto Renal Syndrome.

I have three children - two of them have B.O.R syndrome and wear hearing aids, my youngest is autistic. 

​

Having dealt with the challenges of being deaf I feel that I have a lot to offer. I want to give something back and have some input to help others with their daily struggles. 

​

I have empathy and understanding because I have been deaf all my life which helps me understand and want to help other families. 

​

The struggles my children have going through school currently have taught me a lot with regards to their support needs and entitlements.
