Hi, I'm Marie and I’ve been a teacher for over 32 years, starting my career in secondary school, then moving into peripatetic teaching, retraining to work with Deaf children and young people. I love working with children from 0-18, acting as teacher, coach, advocate and a hearing ally.

 

I serve on the NEC for BATOD (British Association of Teachers of Deaf Children and Young People) a body which promotes the educational interests of all deaf children, young people and adults.

 

In my spare time I enjoy yoga, pilates, singing in a wellbeing choir, dancing and I run with a local club. I have 4 (grown-up) children, 2 grandchildren, a ginger cat called Salvo.
